Heritage Capital, investment manager to the Heritage Capital India funds, has hired Nazneen Kanga as a Director of the firm.
Heritage Capital targets absolute returns through a long short equities strategy, investing in several secular growth themes while simultaneously reducing risk by shorting individual stocks.
Ms. Kanga has previously spent three and a half years in Marketing and Investor Relations with Sandstone Capital, a hedge fund focused on India and, before that, 13 years working with Institutional Investor.
Ms. Kanga’s role will be to focus on institutional marketing, related joint ventures and distribution arrangements.
Inder Sodhi, Managing Partner of Heritage Capital says: “We are delighted to have a seasoned institutional marketing professional like Nazneen join the firm. In today’s challenging global landscape, we think India is one of the few places that provide excellent opportunities for long short and long only investing.”
Ms. Kanga says: “I’m really excited to present Heritage’s experienced investment team and disciplined long short investing approach to the institutional marketplace. I look forward to working with Inder and his team in New York, as well as Rajesh Bhatia and his team in Mumbai, to substantially grow their business.“
